At Soasana Yoga in Zurich Wiedikon, we offer Ashtanga-Inspired Flow, an energising and structured practice inspired by the traditional system of Ashtanga Yoga. Known as one of the most physically demanding styles, Ashtanga builds discipline, strength, and flexibility through a set sequence of postures linked to breath.
Ashtanga Yoga was developed by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India, and follows a fixed sequence of poses designed to purify the body, focus the mind, and connect breath with movement. It is traditionally practised as a self-led (Mysore-style) practice or as a guided class where the sequence is taught in order.
This style is dynamic and challenging; a true moving meditation that pushes you to step outside your comfort zone while staying deeply rooted in mindful awareness.
