Join us on an immersive journey through the heart of East Asian tea culture. This carefully curated tea trip to Korea and Taiwan offers rare, behind-the-scenes access to tea farms, factories, research institutions, and cultural sites — guided by industry professionals with deep local connections.
This trip is designed for tea industry professionals (prioritised) as well as dedicated tea enthusiasts who wish to deepen their understanding of tea from leaf to cup.
You may join Korea only, Taiwan only, or both trips.

April 12 (Sun) – Arrival in Seoul
Arrival and overnight stay in Seoul.
April 13 (Mon) – Seoul & Jeonju
Morning Bukchon walk and teahouse visit in Seoul.
Afternoon train to Jeonju, a city known for tradition and culture.
Stroll around Hanok (traditional houses) Village, have a pottery experience.
April 14-15 (Tue-Wed) – Hadong
Participate in a green tea–making workshop (with tea to take home).
Visit local wild and organic tea farms and local teahouses.
Explore the Tea Research Center, guided by a researcher.
Experience a green tea footbath.
April 16 (Thu) – Hadong (Temple Stay)
Immerse in Korean tea culture with an overnight stay at Ssangyesa, an important site in Korean tea history.
Experience tea tasting and meditation with Buddhist monks.
April 17 (Fri) – Hadong & Seoul
Depart the temple after lunch. Transfer to Seoul by train.
Official tour concludes.
Optional group dinner and optional overnight stay in Seoul.

April 18 (Sat) – Arrival in Taipei
Arrival in Taipei (flight not included) and stay near the airport.
April 19 (Sun) – Nantou
Tour The Beautea Space – Taiwan’s only integrated tea industry activity center. Visit Taiwan’s first wholesale tea market. Taste fresh spring-harvest teas from regions across Taiwan and meet local tea farmers and factory representatives.
Visit Lugu for Dong Ding Oolong and an introduction to traditional Oolong craftsmanship.
April 20 (Mon) – Central Taiwan Tea Regions
Visit Taiwan’s largest lowland tea region to explore organic tea farms and factories. Learn how organic producers survive within a predominantly conventional tea-growing area, and discover new and rare cultivars.
Travel to Sun Moon Lake.
April 21 (Tue) – Sun Moon Lake
Visit Sun Moon Lake tea farms and learn about the history of Taiwan’s black tea.
Join a professional session at the national tea research institution (TBRS), including an expert lecture and guided tasting of Taiwan’s specialty black teas (TTES cultivars, Sun Moon Lake Assam, Ruby #18, etc.).
April 22 (Wed) – Shanlinxi
Visit an organic high-mountain tea garden.
Participate in a hands-on Oolong processing experience (withering through rolling).
Enjoy a unique overnight stay inside a working tea factory.
April 23 (Thu) – Shanlinxi → Alishan
Taste the teas produced during the workshop, then transfer to Alishan.
Visit high-mountain tea gardens and factories to learn about Alishan Oolong cultivation and processing.
Travel to Taipei via high-speed rail.
April 24 (Fri) – Return to Taipei
Experience modern Taiwanese tea culture through a guided tea meditation and curated visits to specialty teahouses and tea shops.
Official tour concludes.
Optional evening visit to a Taipei night market; optional overnight stay in Taipei.
April 25 (Sat) – Departure
Depart from Taipei.
Jenny is the Director of The Beautea Space, Taiwan’s only integrated tea industry activity center. Her family owns Wuji, Taiwan’s leading tea packaging company, which produces eco-friendly, modern packaging for approximately 95% of the country’s tea industry. Through this work, she maintains close relationships with tea producers across Taiwan. After nearly ten years of studying and working in Japan, Jenny returned to Taiwan to join the family business and is deeply committed to sharing Taiwanese tea culture with an international audience.
Diana is a certified tea sommelier from Korea, accredited by Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture. She discovered tea through her Taiwanese husband’s family and further studied Korean tea with a traditional tea master from her hometown of Jeonju, a city renowned for its cultural heritage. Based in Zurich, Diana hosts tea tastings and ceremony events and provides translation support for tea festivals and trips, sharing East Asian tea culture with audiences in Switzerland and Europe. With an international background — including high school in Canada, university in the US, and 6.5 years as a software engineer at Google — she brings a unique perspective to the European tea scene.
